Carolyn Challen

Carolyn McBride Challen, age 84, passed away in Grand Bay, AL on June 4, 2022. She was born in Mobile, AL on September 9, 1937 to Loren and Mattie (Whitten) McBride. Carolyn was an active member of United Methodist Women for many years, maker of the world's best peanut butter pie, and a loving and devoted wife, mother, and friend to many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Challen Jr.; daughter, Barbara Challen Corley; and parents, Loren and Mattie McBride.
Left to cherish her memory are her son-in-law, Don Corley; grandsons, Brendan and Evan Corley; longtime friends, Bill and Elsie Patrick; feline companion, Elmo, now in the care of frieds, Dave and Linda Miller.
Services will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, June 9, 2022 with visitation from 9:00am until the 10:00am service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Masks are respectfully encouraged.
