Aimee Augusta Strachan, Sr., born October 19, 1931, died suddenly on October 16, 2016. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, was a former employee of Ingall's Shipbuilding and Barber's Dairy and a former member of VFW Post 3550 in Eight Mile, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Alfonso Strachan and Mattie Mae Rogers Strachan and his youngest brother, William Gray Strachan. His survivors include his four children, William Steve Strachan, Aimee A. (Rose) Strachan, Jr., Catherine (Eddie) Richie and Peggy (Bill) Riley; his brother, Leo (Agnes) Strachan; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one expected to be born in December, 2016; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Saraland, AL.
