Alfred G. Decamp Jr., age 62, and resident of Irvington, Alabama passed on August 21, 2023 in Irvington. He was born August 30, 1960 in Bayou La Batre, Alabama to his loving parents Alfred and Margie Steiner Decamp. Junior’s kind and gentle spirit lead to his popularity among young and old in his small town of Bayou La Batre. He would take time out of his day to walk neighbor’s groceries home or even stopped to save a stray animal. Junior loved his nieces & nephews, drinking milkshakes, riding his bike, fishing with his dad, and going to Disney world. He enjoyed dancing and all types of music, but Elvis was his favorite. Junior will be greatly missed by his loving family that proudly stood by his side.
Junior is preceded in death by; parents, Alfred DeCamp Sr., and Margie Steiner Decamp; sisters, Patricia Sprinkle, and Carolyn Hall; brother, Bernard Ballard.
He is survived by; his sisters, Sonja (Michael) Bender of Irvington, Rhonda (Jonathon) Tate of Irvington; his brother, Terry (Theresa) Davis of Fairhope; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home from 10 AM to 11 AM. Funeral services for Alfred Decamp will be held on August 28, 2023, at 11 AM at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Malcolm Slater officiating. Burial will follow in Oddfellows cemetery in Bayou La Batre.
