Alice "Cookie" Faye Baker-Sainz, a long-time resident of Theodore, AL, was born in Cleveland, MS on May 10, 1954, to the late Melvin and Alice Slawson, and entered eternal rest on October 22, 2020. She was preceded in death by her brother Jim Slawson, and sisters Ella Lee Robertson and Gladys Nester.
Alice was a devout Christian and a member of Jehovah's Witnesses. She devoted her life to her family and friends. She enjoyed entertaining, music and singing, playing the piano, and gardening. Alice was loved very much by her friends and family, who will dearly miss her beautiful smile, her compassion, her music, and her ability to seek out joy and share it with everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her devoted husband Andres "Andy" Reyes Sainz, brothers John (Emma Lee) Slawson and Bill (Faye) Slawson, sister Sarah Pauline Mullins, sons Jeremy (Celeste) Baker and Noel Sainz, daughters Laura (Chad) Hosford, Angela (Teddy) Griffey, and Natasha (David) Driskell, eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous family and friends.
Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. with visitation two hours prior on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Mobile, with interment to follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
