Allembe Biagio Bart Bartoli
July 4, 1919 Dec. 2, 2014 Allembe Biagio Bart Bartoli quietly entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at his home in Mobile, Alabama. He was 95. Born July 4, 1919 to Italian immigrants Biagio and Anna Bartoli, Bart also known as AB honorably served the United States in World War II. While in the service, Bart was shown a photo of a fellow soldiers sister and said, That is the girl I am going to marry. That girl was Norma Scott Bartoli, his wife of 69 years, who was by his side when he passed. Through his devout work ethic and profound sincerity, Bart served as Vice President of Construction with Delchamps, Inc. In retirement he enjoyed playing rounds of golf at Skyline Country Club, where he also served as president from 19761977. He was a former president of the Kiwanis Club and president of the Little League in Mobile, helping to develop and fund Matthews Park where he also coached baseball. Bart also served as president of the Isle Dauphine Club for several years while he and Norma lived on Dauphin Island. Bart is survived by his spouse Norma Bartoli, his sons Steve Suzy and Marty Becky Bartoli of Mobile his daughter Gina Phillip Andrews of Franklin, Tennessee his grandsons Alan and Matt Bartoli of Mobile, and his granddaughters Mary and Megan Covey, and Christina Covey Linn of Franklin, Tennessee. Two devout caregivers Wanda Williams and Debra Sanders will be forever remembered, along with Chaplain A.K. Petway and the AseraCare Hospice staff. Visitation will be held at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday December 4 from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. A private graveside service will be held at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
