Alma Brownlee

ALMA PRYOR BROWNLEE

A native of Prichard, Al. and lifelong resident of Mobile, Al. departed this life to join our Lord on October 7, 2022 at her residence.
Mrs. Brownlee was born on April 21, 1925, had lived a very long life of 97 years of age. She worked for many years at Gayfers downtown and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved doing various hobbies like an array of collecting things, crocheting, drawing, writing stories and especially keeping a beautiful yard. She was also a member of a Mobile Mystic Society, as was her husband.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Homer C Brownlee Sr., her brothers, James Pryor, Newburn Pryor, her sisters, Elizabeth Pryor Horne, Rosemary Pryor Dozier, her son, Thomas E. Brownlee, her daughter, Mary E. Grosz, son-in-law, J. Scott Grosz, great-granddaughter, Kristy Brownlee.
Survivors include her son, Homer C. (Luwana) Brownlee Jr., two
daughters, Brenda (Dennis) Thornton, Diane (Kenneth) Perkins, seventeen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, many great,great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandson.
The family will receive friends,Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 1:00pm., followed by a graveside service at 2:00pm. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
