Amy Bower

Amy Loretta (Wagner) Bower passed away at a local hospital on September 7, 2016. She is survived by her husband Walter Tate Bower, Jr., her two daughters Jennifer Bower and Julia Green, her son-in-law Seth Green, and her grandson Jacob Tate Green. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters Joe Wagner, Carl Wagner, Mandy Wagner, Elaine Wagner, and Herbert Wagner and by her sisters-in-law Millie Bower, Pat Wagner, and Cathy Wagner. She is preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Julia Wagner and her brother Chris Wagner. She leaves behind many loving nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. Loretta was a graduate of Bishop Toolen High School and of the Mastin School of Nursing. She worked as an OB-GYN nurse and taught ultrasound at USA for 25 years. She was the first RDMS certified nurse to both practice and teach OB-GYN ultrasound in the United States. She was a pioneer in the field of ultrasonography in the Southeast and continued as an ultrasound nurse at Medical Park OBGYN in Fairhope, Alabama. Loretta was a loving friend to and devoted supporter of all who knew her, and she will be missed by her numerous family members and friends. A memorial service will be held to honor her life at Little Flower Church at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, September 12. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be offered in her memory to Little Flower Church.
