September 6, 1929 – December 8, 2024, Beatrice Lusk Risher, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully departed this life on Sunday, December 8, 2024, in Chickasaw, Alabama, at the age of 95.
Beatrice was born on September 6, 1929, in Piedmont, Alabama. At the age of 15 she moved with her family to Mobile, AL where she attended Murphy High School.
She was a woman of unwavering faith and an active member of Chickasaw First Baptist Church, where her warmth and kindness touched many lives. Her life was a testament to love, selflessness and service, as she found joy in taking care of others.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis W. Risher, Sr., son, Louis W. Risher, Jr., parents, Percy Wilson Lusk and Enda Maud Lauderback, and sister Carolyn Lusk Mothershed. Her legacy lives on through her surviving children: Virginia R. Cuen, Elizabeth R. Mcann, and Milton C. Risher (Patty). She was the proud grandmother of her grandchildren, Michael Bradley Cuen (Illsee), Jeffrey P. Cuen, Laura Driskell (Brad), Dawn Griffin and Robert Wesley Risher. Her family was her greatest joy.
Her devotion to God and family and her loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and unshakeable faith.
A service celebrating her life will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens on December 16th with a visitation at 1:00 p.m. followed by service at 2:00 p.m. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her love continue to guide and comfort her family and friends.
