Ben Johnson

Ben Taylor Johnson, passed away and went to be home with the Lord on July 10, 2014 at the age of 93. He was born in Lafayette, AL on June 9, 1921 and was a resident of Mobile and Spanish Fort, AL since 1927. He was a member of Connect Church and a devout Christian who was continuously witnessing to others his love for his Lord and Savior. Ben served in the US Navy in the South Pacific in WWII and was a 1948 graduate of Alabama Polytechnic Institute now Auburn University. He retired in 1987 from Turner Supply Co. as VicePresident of Sales after 35 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben Mark Johnson and Evie Bell Thomas Johnson, and his beloved wife of 58 years, Elizabeth T. Johnson. He is survived by his daughter, Carol Tony Mallini, of Ft. Walton Beach, FL a grandson, Tony Thuy Mallini of Franklin, TN a granddaughter, Ashley Mallini, of Ft. Walton Beach, FL two greatgrandchildren, Noah and Sonoma Mallini of Franklin, TN other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Connect Church, 28328 County Road 13, Daphne, AL 36526. Funeral Services, officiated by Pastor Joe Lee, will be held from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Monday, July 14, 2014 at 12:00 Noon.
