Bernice Headrick Davis passed away on Monday at the age of 83. She was forever young, always the prankster, yet defender of the underdog. Like her mother, she enjoyed her plants (especially her ferns), gardening, and her home which she polished like a jewel while listening to her gospel music. More than anything else, she loved her children. She was tough on them, but lived to hear from them. She was so proud of them, each one, and what they sought to do and what they accomplished. The world has lost a beautiful, one of a kind woman ready to listen and offer a cup of coffee and piece of cake, and if heaven allows, a smoke, too. She is preceded in death by her husband Dewey and her son Danny. She is survived by her son Stan and his wife Karin, her daughter Dixie and her husband David, her daughter Dana and her husband Scott; grandchildren Dana, Rebecca, Kristin, Nick, Alana, Jana and Sam, great grandchildren, family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 2 pm. Visitation will start at 1 pm.
