Mrs. Bessie Louise Taylor, 84, passed away December 13, 2020 in Mobile, Alabama. Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Born at her parents’ home in (the country) Grand Bay, Alabama to Luther Lorenza and Bessie Lea (Jones) Reaves, Louise Taylor grew up in Tanner Williams near Mobile, Alabama. Her fondest childhood memories were of the time she spent with her father who was the light of her life growing up. He taught her to fish, shoot her first rifle, hunt and trap. She especially loved her memories of riding on the tractor with her Daddy plowing the fields. She was very much a Daddy’s girl.
Louise lived for her children and spent her life looking forward to each moment spent with her family. She was a member of Cypress Shores Baptist Church located in Mobile, Alabama. Louise loved to laugh and cut up with everyone she met. Her memory will be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Bessie Reaves; husband, Roy Taylor; sister, Laverne Morris; and niece, Lynn Thomley.
Ms. Taylor is survived by her beloved children: daughter, Shery Polansky (Dan), sons, Stephen Keaton (Denise) and Gary Taylor; grandchildren, Coby Harrison (Jason), Seth Polansky, April Harrell, Thomas Taylor, and Faith Taylor; eight great-grandchildren; close and dear friend, Stephanie Burdett; and her two precious cats, Tom Boy and Racky.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 18, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Brother Scott Griffith officiating. There will be a private graveside service following at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
