Betty Orman Bigham, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, died Friday, February 12, 2016 at the age of 78. She was a retired school teacher for the Mobile County Public School System. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orman Vernon Bigham and Eula Clyde Parker Bigham. Her survivors include her sister, Jane (Mark) Pollitt; her caregiver and friend, James K. Welborn; other relatives and friends. Funeral services, officiated by Rev. Paulette Davis, will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Miss Bigham's memory be made to the American Diabetes Association, 6801 Airport Boulevard, Mobile, AL 36608.
