Betty Bishop Foster - Age 87, died on Tuesday, May 21 after a brief illness. Betty is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Robert Walker Foster; daughters, Gayle (Tom) Pate, Judi (Jim) Gulledge and Robin (Ricky) English; grandchildren, Bradley (Erin) English, Brittany (Chip) Baugh and Lyndsey (Kevin) Day; great-grandchildren, Madden, Brady and Owen; three step-grandchildren and two step-granddaughters; brother, Jack (Cecilia) Bishop and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Davenport Bishop; father, Howard D. Bishop; sister, Merle Clements and brother, Bernard Bishop. Betty was born in Millry, Alabama and graduated from Murphy High School. She retired from the Mobile County Public School System after 23 years as Cafeteria Manager. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, May 23 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Service will be on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 10:00 am at Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 7125 Hitt Road, Mobile, AL 36695. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Episcopal Church of the Redeemer. Burial in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
