Betty Joyce Howard

Betty Joyce Howard, age 85, went home to her Lord and Savior on January 19, 2024. She was born in Louisiana on January 31, 1938, to William Frank Adams and Jessie Frances (Gabel) Adams. Ms. Howard was a standing member of Oak Park Church where she loved to fellowship with others. She was passionate about arts and crafts with a particular talent for painting and making homemade birthday cards. She loved cooking, baking cakes and pies and making homemade candies she would share with her families and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Jessie Adams, her son Richard Howard and her brother, William Adams.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Stephen (Lori) Howard, Larry (Bonnie) Howard, Douglas (Mary) Howard, and Melanie Eddins; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; brother, Douglas (Carolyn) Adams; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Services will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, January 26, 2024, with visitation from 11:00 am until the 12:00 pm funeral service. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
