Betty P Kamphuis, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile passed away Monday May 23, 2016 in her Semmes AL home of 70 years. Betty was 97 years old and was preceded in death by her parents HL Pruitt and Eunice Sossaman, a brother, Henry Pruitt Jr, husband James Anthony Linville Sr. and Jacob Kamphuis both of Mobile, AL, and a son James Anthony Linville of Houston TX. She is survived by three daughters Peggy Nance of Mobile, Daphne James of Cape Elizabeth ME, and Joan Gilbert of Atlanta, GA and numerous grandchildren. Betty was a retired employee of United States Postal Service for 19 years and a school bus driver for Semmes AL school system. She enjoyed playing bridge, the Mobile Symphony, bird watching, and going to the movies. She was a member of the Cosmopolitan Club, Garden Club, and a founder of the St Matthews Episcopal Church. God bless her and all of those she touched. We love her and will miss her! Memorial Services will be held in the garden of the St Matthews Episcopal Church on Overlook Road on Sunday May 29 at 2:00PM.
