Betty Joe Patterson Neece, age 89 was born in Florala Alabama, September 28 1935 and moved from her temporary existence in this earthen vessel to her heavenly home through the reality of her faith in Christ on the morning of April 10, 2025.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Evtus E. Patterson and Mary Jordan Patterson, her brother Walter Patterson, and her husband of 45 years before his death in 1997, Clarence Emmanuel Neece Jr. (Sonny).
Betty is survived by her son David (Mary) Neece, and three daughters Patsy (Chuck) McFadden, Gayle (John) Bishop and Sheila (Deryck) Bell. She leaves behind 8 Grandchildren, Rebekah Neece (Lukas) Cobb, Sarah Neece, Anthony (Kaitlyn) Neece, Kelly McFadden (Matthew) Jackson, Daniel (Hannah) McFadden, Cynthia Lyn (Cindy) Bishop, Olivia Bishop (Jonathan) Cairns, and Valerie Bell (Coleman) Moore.
She also leaves thirteen great grandchildren, Grayson Dale Cobb, Deanna Elena Cobb, Harrison Beckett Neece, Charles Graham Jackson, William Davis Jackson, Paul Thomas Jackson, Harris Eugene Jackson, Charles Daniel McFadden Jr. (Sonny), George Winters McFadden, Florence Elizabeth McFadden, Alexandra Lorane Cairns, and Sonny Bell Moore, Mary Barton Moore.
Betty was a kind soul with a humble spirit. She had a gift for serving Christ that was manifest through her selfless service to her family and others. Her absence from us is a great loss, but knowing she is now reunited with her family that she so cherished, in the presence of our Lord whom she served so passionately, offers great comfort.
Visitation will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM, April 15th at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Three Notch Rd. with a celebration of life service to immediately follow in the chapel at 12:00.
