Betty Odom

Bettye Brown Odom 1931-2017 A native of Mobile, AL and resident of Semmes, AL died on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the age of 85. Mrs. Odom raised 5 children and then went on to get her Master's Degree in Nursing and after doing hospice work, eventually became an integral part of the nursing program at the University of South Alabama where she worked till the age of 80. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odudley Lee Odom and a daughter, Ginger Crenshaw. She is survived by her children, Michael D. (Linda) Odom, Myles Odom, Marcia O. (Larry) Daw and Mark R. Odom; sisters, Julie Cooper and Polly Miller; 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; many other close relatives and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, September 1, 2017 at 12:00 Noon from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with visitation from 11:00 AM until service time.
