Beverly Ann LaBash Black, a longtime resident of Mobile, AL, passed away peacefully at her home Sunday, August 5, 2018 surrounded by family and friends. She was born August 7, 1941 in Detroit, MI. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church; retired as Branch Manager of AmSouth Bank; loved playing and singing Bluegrass music; singing in her church choir and spending time with family and friends. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Michael LaBash and Dorothy Bernice Skubik LaBash, and her son, Robert Allen McLaughlin. Her survivors include her husband, Joe Clifton Black; her son, Jeffry Lee (Kimberly) McLaughlin; step-daughter, Amy Irene Black; her brothers, Chuck (Cathy) LaBash and Jerry (Linda) LaBash; her sister, Pam (Farley) Palmer; five grandsons, Chase McLaughlin, Daniel McLaughlin, James McLaughlin, Jerry McLaughlin and Devin Black; one granddaughter, Janna Black; 4 great-grandchildren; other relatives; extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM from Christ United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday morning from 9:30 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
