Beverly Ann Thornton Smith, a native of Ferriday, LA and longtime resident of Chickasaw, AL, died Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the age of 71. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Henry Thornton, III and Addie Jane McLeod Thornton; her husband, William Cohen Smith, Jr.; her son, Timothy Smith; her daughter, Lynn Mann and her sister, Billie Williamson. Her survivors include her daughter, Valerie Smith (John) Brewer; two sisters, Betty Jo (Paul) Williams and Janie Pacquin; one brother, Joey (Angie McGahee) Thornton; four grandchildren, TJ (Kelly) Smith, Timothy Brewer, Courtny (Alex) King and Billy (Taylor) Smith; five great-grandchildren, Victor, Connor, Lexie, Clara and Will; other relatives; extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
