Billie Frances Mechanic Talmage, a native of Omar, WV and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Monday, November 2, 2015 at the age of 83. Billie was a longtime member of the Crafty Critters at Hollinger's Island Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Mike Mechanic and Opal Inez Jessie Shaver; her husband, Henry Roland Talmage; her brother, Clifford Mechanic and her sister, Evelyn Mechanic Keesee. Her survivors include her children, John M. (Janet) Nix, Joseph S. Nix, James M. (Linda) Nix, Teresa Nix (Brian) Moore, Larry (Eddie Jo) Talmage, Bobbie (Pat) Talmage, Pattie Talmage (Jerry) McVay and Barbara Talmage (Keith) Morgan; her brother, John (Cathy) Mechanic; her sister, Helen Mechanic Keating; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Friday, November 6, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of the funeral home Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
