Billy James Forbes, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2019 at the age of 74. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jessie James and Annie B. Forbes; his parents, Cecil and Marie Forbes and his brothers, Henry Nall and Junior Forbes. His survivors include his siblings, Betty Jean Woods, Foster Forbes (Deborah), Patricia Ann Smith, Molly Edwards (Bobby), Donny Forbes (Kimberly); his children, James Michael Forbes (Lawana), Sonia Renee Viggen, Tammy Kaye Young, Augusta Brooke Roux (Robert), 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; one special niece, Dianna Nall (Michael); numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Michael Nall, Frederick Burroughs, Benny Woods, Robert "RC" Roux, Joe Blackmon and Edward Shannon Meredith. Funeral services, officiated by Brother Chuck Oats, will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
