Bobby Gene Vickery, Sr., a native of Crestview, FL and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Sunday, October 30, 2016. He retired from UOP as a Chemical Operator after 28 years of service. Bobby enjoyed his family, hunting, fishing, and was an Alabama football fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Curtis Vickery and Lillie Simpler Vickery, and two brothers, Carol and Derward Vickery. His survivors include his wife of 34 years, Nancy Brown Vickery; two sons, Bobby Gene (Angela) Vickery, Jr. and Marshall Brian (Shannon) Vickery; his daughter, Angela Vickery (Gary) McKay; one brother, Donnie (Stella) Vickery; four grandchildren, Curtis Vickery, Samantha Vickery ("Jake") Carter, David Vickery and Aaron Vickery; three great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services, officiated by Dr. Paul Montalva, will be held Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening, November 2, 2016, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
