Brantley Hamilton Parsley, Sr.,

Preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Florence, as well as his brother Clarence and sister Norma Watkins. He is survived by his loving wife Bettye Abercrombie Parsley, daughter Linda Parsley Engle (Richard) of Wetumpka, AL - son Brantley H. Parsley Jr., (Bettye R.). Stepdaughters Cinde Pocase, Leslie McMullen (Dan) and Angela Moore (Ken) St. Petersburg, FL. Blessed with Grandchildren Shauna Parsley, Brentley Parsley, Anthony Pocase, Matthew Pocase, Christopher Pocase, Mitchell McMullen, Aaron Moore, Michael Burnett, Matthew Burnett, Heather Rindal, Darcy Rindal, Trevor Burnett, Ruth Muse, many great grandchildren including Serena Pocase of Mobile and many nieces and nephews.
Education: Baltimore Junior College, AA; University of Maryland, BA, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, BA, MRE. Emory University MLS.
Brantley had an extensive work career taking him all over the USA. Brantley retired from the University of Mobile as Librarian in 1993.
Honorary Pallbearers: Mature Life Sunday School, Emmanuel Baptist Church Brotherhood, Alabama Hospice Volunteers, and Widowed Person Service Volunteers.
Brantley was a devoted volunteer. His activities included; Volunteer Chaplain, Alabama Hospice, Habitat for Humanity, Help Line Crisis Telephone Service, Sonshine Builders, Senior Bowlers at Florida Lanes, Sunday School Teacher at Springhill Baptist Church; RSVP., Blood Donor, Widowed Persons Service, Brotherhood Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Brantley was a fine example of how to be a Christian in our current times. He was an inspiration to all.
Services will be Friday, May 6, 2022 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with visitation from 11:00 am until the 12:00 pm service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
