Brenda White Cowart - Born August 7th, 1954 to Richard White Sr. and Mildred Pierce White along with her twin Glenda White Hinton. She passed Sunday, November 5, 2017 at 2:30am while at home. Brenda was preceded in death by her mother Mildred Pierce White, she was survived by her daughter, April and Jeffery Boddie; grandson, Lathan Chandler Cowart; father, Richard B. White; sisters, Marsha and Frank Obert, Twin Glenda and Donald Hinton; brothers, Richard and Teresa White Jr., Benny D. White; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews from Mobile, AL and Meridian, MS.
Brenda worked at Barbers Dairy and then in clerical work in the medical field. Brenda was a member of Moffett Road Baptist Church, Dr. Steve Walter, Pastor, became good friends with Brenda; she enjoyed his visits, talks, and prayers. Joey Shelton her cousin from Meridian, MS, will officiate the services.
Brenda enjoyed cooking for the family - Christmas Time - and most of all spending time with her grandson Lathan. Her daughter, April, and her grandson, Lathan, were her heart. Family was everything to her. Brenda and Glenda were constantly together. They were more than sisters, they were twins with an unexplainable bond.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8pm, Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, November 9, 2017 from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be: Elliott White, Harrison White, Wesley Moring, Joshua Shamp, Shawn Hicks, and Thomas Peters. Burial in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
