Bruce "Pop" Dew, a native of Moyers, OK and a longtime resident of Eight-Mile, AL, died on Thursday, August 31, 2017. He was retired from Mobile County Public School System. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Dew, a daughter, Melissa Bush and grandson, Christopher Myers. He is survived by his son, William (Marilyn) Oaks, Jr. and daughter, Holly (Robert) Brooks; one sister, Faye Gilheart; two grandchildren, Ansleigh (John) Townsend and Jonah Bush; two great grandchildren, Kinzlee Bush and Stella Townsend, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 2pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will start at 12 noon. Burial in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be; Matt Bush, William "Donnie" Dyess, David Gilheart, Grady Sims, Danny Stevens, and Palmer Gatlin, Honorary pallbearer, Joseph Toomey.
