Burl Morris, Jr.

Mr. Burl Morris, Jr., age 81, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016 with his loving wife by his side at a local nursing facility in Mobile, Alabama. Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his parents, Burl Sr. & Carrie Morris and daughter, Cathy Morris. Burl is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Morris; three sons, Mike (Patti) Morris, Mitch Morris, Stephen Morris; daughter, Cindy (Greg) Jorgensen; grandchildren, David, Susie, Becky, Heather, Chase, Katie and Matt; sister, Eunice (Harvey) Smith; niece, Becky (Edly) Dunn; numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. The eulogy will be given by Burl's nephew, Richard A. Maples. Burl loved to live life to the fullest and when you were around him there was never a dull moment. He always had a smile on his face and loved a good laugh. When not working in sales, then later in his construction business, Burl loved to fish and hunt with his sons and friends. He adored his grandchildren and loved large family gatherings, especially when he could share his gift of song singing Karaoke. Burl was the kind of man everybody loved with his infectious personality. He is loved by many and will be missed by all. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 12 noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday 10 AM until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pine Crest West Cemetery on Snow Rd. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made
