Carlton Victor Womack, “Vic”, died on October 17, 2024 in the presence of his precious “Rissa”. Vic was a dedicated husband, father, Poppa and friend. Vic was born on May 14, 1952, in Mobile, Alabama. He is preceded in death by Mr. James Samuel Womack, Jr. (Bonnie Griffin) and Ms. Dorthy Dean Dempster. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marissa Brown Womack (“Rissa”), for over 50 years of marriage. He loved being a father to sons Carlton Brantley Womack (Stefanie), Stephen Mark Womack, Britton Kyle Womack (Susanna), and twin daughters Victoria Lynnsay Womack, and Marissa Womack Simmons (Derek) and Poppa to his beloved 11 grandchildren, Brant, Tyler, Anna, Gauge, Lincoln, Noah, Riley, Roman, Ava, Emma, Lauren, and Hayden “Hay Hay”.

Vic is also survived by brothers and sisters Hugh Donald Womack (Maureen), AZ; Patricia Ann Womack, AZ; James Samuel Womack III (Krista), Mobile; Alicia Womack Davis (Joe), Mobile; and Leslie Womack Shields (Harold), Theodore, as well as many other cousins and lifelong friends.

Vic graduated from Theodore High School, Class of 1971, where he played football and baseball. He started his career in the plumbing industry, which lasted for over 45 years. He began with Marshall Tew Plumbing and Skippy Best Plumbing before starting Womack Plumbing. He loved spending time with his family, traveling with Rissa and watching football on Saturdays. 

A special thanks and much gratitude to Dr. Pranitha Prodduturvar (“Dr. Pro”) and staff at The Mitchell Cancer Center, Dr. Adam Herring and his staff, and Saad’s Hospice Care.

A memorial for his life will be on Wednesday October 23, 2024 at Mobile Memorial Gardens on Three Notch Road. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. with a memorial service immediately following.
