Carol Mcpherson

Carol Jean Haugan McPherson, age 68, passed away peacefully at home with her loved ones on Sunday, August 30th 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on February 15, 1952 in Bemidji, MN. She retired as a District Manager from McDonald Oil. Carol loved to love on people and her hands were rarely still. She and Bud would spend weekends away camping and fishing. Her love of sewing would shine through in the many creations she made for herself, daughter and grandchildren. When it came to baking, don’t get in her way; she was great in the kitchen. Karaoke and music was a regular part of her life and her singing will always remain in our memories. If she wasn’t doing any of these things, you would find her swimming in her pool. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Haugan; father, Glen Haugan; sisters, Connie Watkins and Cathy Hudson; brother, Charles Haugan; son, Tommy Collins; step daughter, Jamie Oyler; granddaughter, Devon Collins. She is survived by her husband, Millard Ray “Bud” McPherson; daughter, Tammi (Adam) Leary; daughter-in-law, Tricia Wakeley; step-daughter, Denise (Matt) Wright; grandsons, Andrew and Trent LeGere, Mark Nolan and Craig McPherson; granddaughters, Gracie, Hope and Ava Collins, Cecilia Oyler, Brianna (Matt) McKissick and Sydney Wright; brothers, Cliff, Carl and Clayton Haugan; nieces and nephews in Minnesota; other relatives and friends. She has special memories of the Collins family and her high school friends from Minnesota. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 4, 2020 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday beginning at 12:30 PM.
