Carole Hardy

Carole Deanne Hardy, 83, of Mobile Alabama passed away on July 12, 2024.

Carole was born on July 3, 1941 to Martin Brinkman and Joan Pouyadou Brinkman.

Carole and her husband, William Hardy, Sr. were married on April 21, 1958 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church. This would mark the beginning of a loving marriage of 66 years. Carole worked for the Mobile Greyhound Park for 30 years before retiring to spend time with family. Some of her favorite hobbies included fishing, feeding and watching hummingbirds, playing scrabble and solving crossword puzzles. She loved listening to country music as well. Some of Carole's fondest memories were decorating for Christmas while listening and singing along with Teresa Brewer's 'At Christmas Time' album. The thing in life that brought her the greatest joy was becoming a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren lovingly called her Nomie.

Carole is survived by her husband of 66 years, William M. Hardy, Sr.; children, Kimberly Gunter (Todd), William M Hardy, Jr. (Kimberly Combs-Hardy), Jeanne P. Hardy; grandchildren, William M Hardy, III, Joseph D Hardy (Naomi Schwartz-Hardy), Emalyn P. Middleton, Benjamin C. Middleton; great-grandchildren, Yvette S. Hardy and William M. Hardy, IV.

Carole's family will celebrate her life with a funeral service on Monday July 22, 2024, at 11:00 am at St. Matthew's Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort at 2:00 pm.
