Carolyn Irene Abare, a native of North Carolina and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Friday, February 9, 2018 at the age of 71. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Jackson Wallace and Doris Lee Gould Wallace, her husband, John Joseph "Jack" Abare and her grandson, Dustin Michael Abare. Her survivors include two daughters, Patricia Abare and Kimberly Lee Garvie; two brothers, Jeff (Misty) Burns and Darryl (Elena "Sam") Gould; one sister, Doris Burns; five grandchildren, Joseph A. Morris, Bridgett Hingle, Haley M. Abare, Dakota Boggs and Carl Morris; four great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 12:00 Noon until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
