Carolyn Edge

Carolyn Ann Edge was born on November 15, 1942. She was the only child of Joel and Myrtle Tarleton. She was born in Mobile, Alabama where she graduated from Vigor High School. She married Billy Frank Edge from Clark County in 1961. She and Billy have resided in Saraland since 1974 and have been active members in the community. She was the best wife, mother, and Mimi and she loved her family and friends with an unconditional love. Carolyn worked as the office manager for Nelson Wholesale and AFLAC Insurance during her career. Her career opened the door for her to travel and spend time with the great friends she made along the way. She loved to laugh and play hours of games with her dearest friends. She loved reading and reading on the beach was even sweeter. Many of her weekends were spent on the beach of Gulf Shores with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and lifelong friend Jackie Burleson.
She is survived by the love of her life for 59 years, husband Billy Edge, his son, Todd Edge (Tracey) and their children, Morgan, Cole, Tanner and Darby; his son Taff, and his children, Clay and Josie. In addition, she has left behind a long trail of cousins and friends that she would have moved a mountain for. Carolyn's smile lit up the room and she has left behind a lifetime of joy and laughter for all that knew her.
