Catherine Shields

SHIELDS
Catherine G. Shields, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, died on Thursday, September 20, 2018. She was a graduate of the Mobile Infirmary School of Nursing, and an R.N. for 42 years. Mrs. Shields had worked at the Mobile Infirmary and the Knollwood Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Naman and Merle Boyette George and two brothers, Elbert George and Gabriel George. She is survived by two children, William Shields, Jr. and Joseph Shields; two sisters, Merle Tant and Marie Neal; five brothers, John George, III, Emile George, Thomas George, Anthony George and David George; four grandchildren, Henry Shields, Amber Shields, Aubree Shields and Adyson Shields and other relatives. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 12 noon. Visitation will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Friday September 21, 2018 from 5 to 7 pm. Burial will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
