Charles Davis

Charles J. Davis was born in Paris, Arkansas on June 18, 1933, to Charlie and Ella Davis and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 16, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Becky Davis, and four children, Cheryl Smith (Jim) of Guyton, GA, Sheila O'Brien of Mobile, AL, Dennis Davis (Sylvia) of Mobile, AL, Susie Bolen (Wesley) of Wilmer, AL, and two stepsons, Bill Gulledge (Teresa) of Mobile, AL and Mark Gulledge (Meredith) of Canton, GA. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Jennifer Hamilton, Janelle Will, Darryl Davis, Caitlin O'Brien, Candace O'Brien, Tyler Bolen, Carly Bolen, Sophia Davis, Nicolas Davis, Ashton Gulledge, Connor Gulledge, and Ansley Gulledge along with eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Ruth Mothershed. He was pre-deceased by his parents, his brother, Bill Davis, and two sisters, Ruby Leonard and Mary Jerkins.

Charles was a barber for 64 years, owning his own shop in the Navco / McVay area, and later moved his shop to the Fowl River area at his home.

He was a longtime member of New Hope United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, January 20, 2025 at 2 pm. Visitation will be 1pm until service time Monday at the funeral home.
