Charles Joseph Seitz, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, died Sunday, July 10, 2016 at the age of 79. Mr. Seitz retired as Shop Foreman for the Transportation Department for the Mobile County Public School System after 25 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Julius Seitz, Sr. and Vivian Josephine Northcut Seitz; and three brothers, Johnny Anderson, Donald Wainwright and Alfred Julius Seitz, Jr. His survivors include his wife of 55 years, Julia Faye Couch Seitz; three sons, Carl Edward (Robin) Seitz, Sr., David Wayne (Sarah) Seitz and John Ray (Teri) Seitz; two brothers, Carl George Seitz and Emiel Curt Seitz; one sister, Marie Seitz (Jim) Marchetti; five grandchildren, Carl Edward (Rebecca) Seitz, Jr., Chelsea Elizabeth Seitz, Charlea Elaine Seitz, Jacob Benjamin Seitz and Avery Marie Seitz; one great-grandson, Decker James Seitz; other relatives and friends. A memorial service, officiated by Chaplain Frank Bass, will be held Friday, July 15, 2016 at 6:30 PM from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5:00 PM until service time.
