Charles Gray Weeks was born on December 22nd, 1945 in York, Alabama and passed away on August 12th, 2020 in Mobile, Alabama after a long-fought battle with Covid19. He was the eldest of four boys and was raised in Panola, Alabama. After graduating from Aliceville High School in the class of 1964, he served honorably in the United States Army as a helicopter mechanic in the Vietnam War. Charlie worked for Frisco Railroad which was later taken over by Burlington Northern Railroad Company for more than 40 years before retiring as a resident of Theodore, Alabama. Recently he and his wife resided in Tuscaloosa, Alabama before returning to Mobile area. Charlie enjoyed fishing on the river with family and friends and he was an avid Alabama football fan. He was a loving husband, father, son and grand paw. He is preceded in death by his father Charles Elmo Weeks and three brothers, Ronald Weeks, Patrick Weeks and Michael Weeks. Charlie is survived by his beloved wife, Lucille Hinton Weeks, his mother Verda Grace Bradshaw, his son Charles Edward Weeks (Lisa), his daughter Cherri Weeks Cook, stepson Samuel Albert Morgan, stepdaughter Kelly Maureen Myers (Chad), 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many other relatives.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 17th, 2020 at 2:00PM at Joyner Cemetery on Tanner Williams Road.
