Cheryl Chappell

Cheryl Bea "Boo Boo" Chappell age 60 of Mobile AL passed away Monday March 31, 2025 at Mobile Infirmary Hospital with loved ones. Cheryl was proceeded in death by her mother Annie Ruth Kountz Chappell- Grandparents Cecil Burt Chappell Sr and Cassie Seals Chappell- George E Kountz Sr and Juanita Kountz. Cheryl is survived by her father Cecil "Big Burt" Chappell Jr, little brother Cecil "Burt" Chappell III (Christy) whom she adored and loved unconditionally, Sister Debra (Ed) Hicks, Nephew Burt Koby (Shelby) Chappell, Nieces Kristin Chappell, Adrienne and Caitlin Hicks, great niece Zayleigh Gray and great nephews Oakland and Kashton Orso.

Cheryl was born on March 2, 1965 to Cecil Burt Chappell Jr and Annie Ruth Kountz Chappell. Born and raised in Mobile, AL, Cheryl was employed with LabCorp for 10 years. she was an avid lover of Alabama Football, trips to the Casinos and for many years playing bingo at the Knights of Columbus 4888 on Sundays. she had a love of horses and her dogs.

Never a mother herself, she loved her nieces and nephews. the special bond she shared with Kristin and Burt Koby was one that she would dictate as the. love of a mother. Cheryl also shared a close bond with her cousin Linda Kiernan and cousin/bestie Tracy Smith whom we called her person. the two of them with many road trips under their belt, fussing from time to time was that of a solid for sure. Tracy's love and care for Cheryl especially over the past couple of months has been unbreakable. the family expresses their debt of gratitude for her selflessness and her love and dedication to Cheryl.

though our hearts break for her here in this body, our girl is now whole and complete in her new heavenly body with her Mom. we love you Boo Boo and will keep your memory alive, til we meet again...

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 12noon. The family will receive friends from 11am until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
