Clyde Wayne Tillman, age 71, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2020 at Providence Hospital. He was born March 20, 1949 in Mobile, Alabama to Charles Edward, Sr. and Treallie (Cooper) Tillman.
Wayne graduated from Theodore High School in 1967. Upon graduation, he followed his brother Charles in joining the US Navy and served 4 years. Wayne earned the title of master plumber and became the proud owner and operator of Tillman’s Plumbing Co. for over 40 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and was an avid Alabama sports fan. He will be remembered for his kind, loving, and gentle spirit that also extended to his K9 companions.
Wayne is preceded in death by his wife Pamela “Pam” Steele Tillman, parents Edward and Treallie Tillman, brothers Charles “Charlie” and Richard “Ricky” Tillman, brother-in-law and friend Tony Alexander. He is survived by his daughters Gina (Mark) Cumpton, Niki (Doug) Hoskins, and Theresa Clough. His grandchildren, Matthew (Courtney) Tillman, Taylor (Robin) Cumpton, Alex (Leonor) Cumpton, and Haley Clough. His great grandchildren Brantley Cumpton and Madalyn Joy Tillman. Siblings Margaret Alexander, Mike (Peggy) Tillman, and Charlotte (Mickey) Parker; sister-in-law Charlotte Faye Tillman, nieces, nephews, three stepchildren and numerous step grandchildren, and other family.
The funeral services will be held on Thursday June 4, 2020 at 2:00 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with interment at the Oddfellows Cemetery in Bayou La Batre, Alabama. The visitations will be held on Thursday June 4 for immediate family at 12:30 and all other visitations for family and friends between 1:00-2:00.
Arrangements are by Mobile Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Alzheimer Foundation of America.
