Connie and M.E. "Mack" McKelvaine were married for 73 years, her greatest joys were taking care of her husband, being a mom and enjoying her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid viewer of Hallmark movies and college football, "War Eagle!"
She was affectionately known as "Queenie" among her family, due to her sweet, kind and gracious disposition. She was a woman of enormous integrity, strength, devotion to always do the right thing and faith in the Lord.
Mrs. McKelvaine was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna McKelvaine Williams, and son Michael Eugene McKelvaine.
Survived by her loving husband, M.E. "Mack" McKelvaine, her daughter, Susan Stanfield Slater (Joseph), grandson Andrew Williams (Lauren), granddaughter, LeighAnne Bush (Daniel), great granddaughter Peyton Williams, two great grandsons, Daniel "Tre" Bush III and Jack Bush, her brother James Larry Bishop, of Nashville, TN, and nieces, Ellen May and Julie Chitwood of Nashville, TN.
She will be missed by all of those who love her and knew her, one who had the privilege to marry her, those who had the honor of calling her mom and friend, and those who called her Neenaw.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 12 noon in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 am until12 noon Tuesday at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
