Corbit Thurman Bazor, born on May 21, 1935 in Semmes, AL to the late Tinnie Tanner Bazor and Bennie John Bazor, passed away peacefully September 27, 2020 in Mobile, AL. He was predeceased by his four brothers and two sisters.
Corbit married the love of his life, Ida "Judy" Waters, on April 21, 1967. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Tommy (Ericka), Steve, and Robert (Stacey) Bazor; seven grandchildren, Leigh, Tyler, Emma, Jared (Haleigh), Kennedy, Izzy and Brayden Bazor; two great-grandchildren, Isabela and Madilynn Perez; many other relatives and friends.
Corbit served in the United States Marine Corps and was a 30 year veteran of the Mobile Fire Department serving proudly for over 20 years at the Melton Fire Station as Captain. He was an avid golfer, loved to camp, fish, hunt, watch Alabama football and spend time with his family.
A private celebration of his life will be held at 3 Circles Church Midtown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Captain Bazor's memory to the Mobile Fire Department Benevolence Fund.
Corbit was known as a positive influence to all he met. He was always willing to give a helping hand to those in need.
