DOWELL, Sr.
Curmey Devoy Dowell, Sr., a native of Fairfield, Texas and a longtime resident of Mobile, died on Friday, September 16, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Ann Dowell and son, Devon Dowell and brothers and sisters, James Dowell, Curtis Dowell and Pizzel Dowell. He is survived by three children, Lola (Earl) McGallagher, Devoy (Amy) Dowell, Jr., and Delane Dowell; one sister, Aline Fountain; twelve grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services will be held from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 2 pm. Visitation Tuesday evening from 5 to 7.
