Darren Hill

Darren Lee Hill, age 60, passed away at 11:20 PM on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Darren, a long time resident of Mobile, AL, was very involved in the community. He spent his younger years playing ball at Boykin Park. Darren served on the board of the Theodore Athletic Association, as well as the Theodore High School football program. He worked for many years in the industrial field starting with Gulf Rubber and Gasket/Rubber Hose and Gasket and continued his career at Motion Industries. Darren enjoyed hunting, fishing, and Alabama football. He also cherished the moments he had with his wife, children and grandchildren. Darren will be dearly missed by his wife of 39 years, Kathy; children, Darrick (Jennifer) and Kendra (JH); grandchildren, Hailee, Dawson, Adaleigh, Weslee, and Harlee; other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Lee and Dot Hill and other family members. Family and friends are invited to gather for a celebration of Darren’s life on Sunday, September 20, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 21, 2020 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, followed by a committal service in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Bayou La Batre, AL.
