David Anthony

David E. Anthony a resident of Mobile, AL passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021 at the age of 70. He was preceded in death by his father, George T. Anthony and his mother, Grace J. Anthony. David is survived by his wife, Anna Anthony, and two children, Lance Anthony (April "Nikki" Anthony), and Alycia Anthony; three grandchildren, Dalton Anthony, Colton Rivers, and Larkyn Anthony; one brother, Steve Anthony (Angela Anthony), two sisters, Bertha Duke, and Sue Owens; father in law, George Pierce (Brenda Pierce); and many other family members and friends. David was a graduate of Baker High School, Class of '68. He was a meter reader for Mobile Gas for 45 years. He trained and bred Thoroughbred race horses for 30 years. After retirement, he pursued a love for cows and life in the slow lane. He is loved by everyone who knew him and will be missed dearly. David can be described by many as a quiet, good ol' country boy!

The pallbearers will include: Jimmy Wilson, Jerry "Dobby" Otto, Gross Lambard, James Duke, Travis Duke, and Pat Duke.

His dogs, Blue and Bella, miss him greatly. His services will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, visitation 10:30 - 12:00, funeral immediately following in the Chapel.
