David Wesley Copeland, Jr.

September 2, 1942 - February 8, 2022

David was born in Mobile, AL and graduated from Semmes High School in 1960. David served six years with the United States Marine Corp before working and retiring from Scott Paper Company in 1998.

He had a love for fishing, spending time on the water, working in the garden and entertaining family and friends at his home. He had knowledge of many things and was always willing to help others.

David is survived by Barbara Harris Copeland, his devoted wife of 32 years; son, Robert Wesley Copeland; three daughters, Darlene Copeland Givens (Mark), Debra Copeland Davidson, and Donna Marie Copeland; five grandchildren, Aaron Davidson, Haley Davidson, Dallas Givens, Rachel Givens, Jessica Velazquez; great granddaughter, Kara Ann Marie Velazquez; sister, Diane Copeland Sellers; sister-in-law, Marilyn Cochran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Evelyn Copeland and his sister, Mary Hammack.

Friends and family will be received for visitation at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. The funeral service will follow on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at 10:00am from the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place in Serenity Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers: Allen "ReRun" Richey, William Gulledge, Robert Winhauer, Michael Evans, James Mason, and Robert Copeland.
