David Etheridge

David Henry Etheridge, age 66, passed away on September 28, 2023, in Mobile, AL. He was born in Belleview, IL to Ashby and Joyce Etheridge on May 30, 1957.

David was a longtime member of Dauphin Way Baptist Church who loved spending time with his family and in nature. He was a passionate bass tournament fisherman, lifelong athlete and coach to any and all in need of tips on the golf course or guidance on the best fishing spots. A "naturalist" at heart, David was always enthused to learn and share his abundant knowledge on reptiles and insects and other wildlife. He is described by those who loved him most as a bass master, a good shot with a pistol, wonderful husband, adoring father to his precious daughters, and a loyal friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ashby and Joyce Etheridge and his sister, Yvonne Dahlberg.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 40 years, Valarie Lynn Etheridge; daughters, Jessica Layne (Brent) Vegliacich and Natalie Lynn Etheridge; a host of well-loved and spoiled grand-dogs, other relatives and many friends.

Services will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, October 2, 2023, with visitation from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm memorial service.
