David Mcpherson

David Harlin McPherson was born on July 8, 1947 in Laurel, MS. He went home to be with his Lord on December 27, 2019 after his battle with Cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, James Alexander McPherson; his mother, Pauline Barrett McPherson; his daughter, Michelle McPherson Henderson; and his deceased wife, Judy Norcross McPherson. He is survived by his wife, Janice Philpot McPherson; sister, Betty McPherson Strong; stepdaughter, Kelley Dunaway (Mike); stepson, Richard Norcross (Summer), and son-in-law, Greg Henderson; his grandchildren, Garrett and Dylan Henderson, Megan Ulmer (Brittany), Morgan Dunaway, and Courtney, Madison, and Emily Norcross. He graduated from Vigor High School. He attended Jones County Junior College in Ellisville, Mississippi and The University of South Alabama. David also served in the National Guard. He was a transportation manager for Delchamps over thirty- five years. David was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church where he was a Stephen Minister and served with the Lifegate Ministry. He was an avid Alabama Fan and loved the words” ROLL TIDE.” The New Orleans Saints were another of his favorites. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 6101 Grelot Road, Mobile AL 36609. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 3, 2019 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday morning from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
