Debora Ann Owens Farley, known throughout the community as "Nana", a native of Monroeville, AL and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died November 17, 2016 at the age of 62. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Dow Owens, Sr. and Carolyn Eloise Wright Owens; and two brothers, David Earl Owens and Herman Dow Owens, Jr. Her survivors include two daughters, DeAnne "DeDe" (Jonas) Vinson and Kelly Therese' Naman; her son and hero, Joshua Richard Miller, a decorated soldier of the US Army of whom she was very proud; her sister, Joyce Rigby; her brother, Billy Rae (Angela) Owens; six grandchildren, Hunter and Brody Hinton, Emma Dale and Ella DeAnn Special, Kadeyn Vinson and Karoline Williams; two nieces, Lynn (Jesus') Mondragon and Amanda (Caleb) Lindsey; one nephew, Herman Dow Owens, III; one great-nephew, James Eli Lindsey; close and special friend, Lee Jung; sister-in-law, Mary Lee Owens; other relatives and friends. Nana will be greatly and sadly missed and never to be forgotten. Her free spirited smile and kind and loving nature touched the hearts of many. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. The Lord commanded us to "love one another" and that she did very, very well. A memorial service will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home at 6:00 PM Monday, November 21, 2016. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 5:00 PM until service time.
