Dennis Weatherly

Dennis Allen Weatherly, a native of Savannah, GA and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Sunday, September 20, 2015 at the age of 60. He was a US Coast Guard Veteran. Mr. Weatherly received his Bachelor's Degree from Armstrong State College in Savannah, GA and his Master's Degree in Vocational Education from the University of Phoenix. He taught school for many years and, at the time of his death, was teaching at Theodore High School. He was preceded in death by his father, James Ethridge Weatherly; his paternal grandparents, Percy and Mabel Weatherly; and his maternal grandparents, Remer and Mary Chance. His survivors include his wife, Dr. Daniela V. Weatherly; his son, Greg James Weatherly; his daughter, Katie Eve Weatherly; his mother, Phammie Janelle Chance Chaffin; two sisters, Kim Weatherly Griffis and Lisa Weatherly Thomason; his brother-in-law, Radu Marius Lupu; his father-in-law, Gheorghe Lupu; his mother-in-law, Valentina Lupu; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. The funeral service was held Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
