Dianne Marie Joseph Buxton, a native of Chicago, IL and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Friday, February 12, 2016 at the age of 74. She was a retired school teacher and taught many years at Mobile Christian School. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert Eugene Buxton. Her survivors include her son, Joel James (Shawn Renee') Cobb; three grandchildren, Joshua Shayne Ishee, Jordan Christopher Dearman and his fiancée, Alayna Bonds, and Kyle Ashton (Heather) Dearman; her canine companions, Ben and Molly; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening, February 17, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Mrs. Buxton's name be made to Port City Church of Christ, 2901 Hillcrest Road, Mobile, AL 36695.
