Dolores Royston

Dolores Molinaro Royston passed away peacefully on January 31, 2018 at her home in Theodore, Al, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada where she spent the first 33 years of her life. In 1953, at a corner store in Hamilton, a mutual friend arranged a blind date with Charles Royston. They married in 1954 and spent the next 63 years together, much of that time traveling the United States and the world with Charles' job. They shared an adventurous life together! They had four children who also enjoyed years of adventure along with them!
During their years in New Jersey, Dolores formed a close knit group of friends who called themselves "The Barracuda's". They enjoyed the casinos, the beaches and just spent the best of times together! Dolores was known as the "free spirit"!
While living in New Salem, Massachusetts, Charles gave her a brand new Cadillac that she loved to drive and frequented the local restaurants for lunch with the local police chief and other local dignitaries who became friends. Dolores just loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest!
She is preceded in death by her parents; John and Rosa Molinaro, her grandmother, Nona Calutti, who raised her and she loved dearly, her son, Paul Charles Royston, one brother, Ronald Molinaro, two sisters, Velma Quilan and Rita Feltraco.
She is survived by her loving husband Charles; two sons, Thomas William (Sue) Royston and Darryl Royston; a daughter, Paula (Darin) OShea; 5 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Melissa and Caroline Royston, Theresa (Mike) Pozobyte and Tanner Tyree; one great grandson, Benjamin Clay Tyree and two very special friends, Joanna Magnam and Cathy Dickman
Dolores' family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice for their care.
Funeral Service will be Held on Wednesday, February 7 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 6040 Three Notch Rd., Mobile, AL 36619. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens, immediately following the service.
