June 16, 1934 — December 3, 2020

EvansDon B. Evans 1934-2020 A native and longtime resident of Saraland, Alabama and a current resident of Mobile, Alabama. Stepped into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on Thursday December 3rd, 2020 surrounded by his loving family at Saads Hospice Care – The Retreat. Mr. Evans loved his family, friends and church family. He is preceded in death by his parents Ray C. and Hattie Mae Evans; his sisters Eva Mae Driver (Morgan); Bobby Nell (Boots) Kordie (Marco) and by his brothers Wayne Evans and William Conrad (Sonny) Evans (Lois). He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Delores Busby Evans and his 5 daughters Rhonda Turner (Steve); Lynda Thompson (Don); Lori Culpepper (Jeff); Kim Evans; and Donya Dempsey (Max); 15 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. He worked for and retired from International Paper Company Mobile Mill after 43 years. In addition to this he also served as Vice President and then as President for the I.B.E.W. Local Union. In his spare time, he could be found tinkering on a recent project or planning and taking trips with his wife and family out West. He had a servant’s heart and was helpful to anyone in need. Funeral Services are scheduled for Tuesday December 8th, 2020 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. We would like to thank Saads Hospice Care – The Retreat for their excellent care and loving and compassionate support during this time. In lieu of Flowers and/or Monetary condolences please donate to Hospice Care Fund of Mobile. The best way is to write a check out to Hospice Care Fund of Mobile. These funds go to help families whose health insurance does not cover Hospice Care. Memorials may be offered at www.mobilefuneralservice.com.
